CPD Funding Programme 2009-2010
The Council administers the individually focused CPD funding programme on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government. The Assembly makes available funds of £3 million annually, which enables the Council to approve applications from approximately 4,500 teachers.
With applications from teachers increasing significantly each year and the funding provided by the Assembly remaining unchanged, the Council has needed to make a small number of refinements for 2009-10 in order to achieve a better balance between application numbers and the total funding available. Background
Since 2001, the Council has been administering a Professional Development Programme on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government. The programme seeks to provide teachers with an opportunity to identify their own professional needs. The Welsh Assembly Government has made the following funding available to support this programme.
